In the new situation and period, with the changes in college education reform, the work of the tutors in our country has expanded from ideological and political education to the aspects of organizational discipline and guidance in daily lives, College tutors' professional development has become the demand of our country's popular education, college healthy development and tutors' sustainable development themselves. However, compared with the United States, our college tutors' construction work is not perfect, , leading many tutors unclear about the direction of future development, difficult to definitude self professional orientation. We can see problems from the aspect of college tutors' work status quo, that is lacking foundation, with little learning and continuing education opportunity; lacking people and work division unclear; more younger and heavy pressure and responsibilities; From the aspect of tutor's development, the direction is unclear, the professional titles evaluation is relatively difficult; the difference between treatment and workload is imbalance; the decision on awards or excellence lacks dispassion; and deficiency in specialization training.The author has had informal discussions with peoples in the industry, combined with self practical experiences, studied the current problems encountered, analyzed the reasons of tutors' listless work emotion, and explored two major ways for the promotion of tutors' professional development to figure out the problems mentioned before. 1. Enhance the tutors' professional training and learning. 2. Perfect tutors' personal development through a new evaluation system. In the personal development of tutors, as regards the problem of tutors' professional titles evaluation, this article bring forward a new and relatively systematic scheme, that is, the proposed evaluation system of tutors should be: "4 years"+ "4 ranks"+ "6 species".In the respects of enhancing the training and learning for professional tutors, the article proposes to set up professional courses, to organize training and assess skills, to strengthen the study and encourage scientific research. In the personal development of tutors, the article proposes a evaluation system of tutors: "4 years"+ "4 ranks"+ "6 species". Here "4 years" means the basic time, "4 ranks" refers to the rank level, "6 species" refers to the classification of tutors. The article hopes that the establishment of rank evaluation system can help tutors to plan the professional development of individuals to find out their own direction for future development.
