The Study Of The Financial Assitance System For College Students From Economically Disadvantaged Families In New China

The problems of University students with financial difficulties have always attracted wide attention from our party, our country and our society. Since 1949, we have established university financial aiding systems to help to solve students' financial problems. Its development could be roughly divided into five stages: stage of transforming from state-supply system to people's grants-in-aid system as a priority; stage of giving priority to people's grants-in-aid system; stage of co-existence of people's grants-in-aid, scholarships and students' loans; stage of co-existence scholarships and loans while establishing and perfecting multi-assistance system from five aspects: scholarship, loan, aid, supply and reductionBefore 1990s, the merger of colleges and universities and expansion has not been carried out. On the one hand, the number of students in colleges and universities are not many , on the other hand, college students from economically disadvantaged families, people rely on grants, scholarships and other scholarships, as well as measures to resolve the basic issue of school costs, so when college students from economically disadvantaged families The question is not very prominent. Along with the development of economy and society, the imbalanced of urban-rural economy and region economy, the evident social differentiation, the enlargement of college enrollment scale, the increase of tuition levels, the long-existing problems of students with financial difficulties became increasingly obvious, especially when the reform of our college educational system became more and more intensified. The college students with financial difficulties are large in number and complicated in region distribution, and the number is creasing and expanding year by year. The problem has impact, to a certain extent, on the general development of college students and the higher education of qualified students, which would cause the waste of educational resources and the negative effects on the social economic development. Therefore, the enhanced research and continual perfection of college students aiding system would pragmatically solve their problems. This would not only be beneficial to total execution of increasing educational quality and all-round development education, and to the construction of harmonious society and to the practice of sustainable development plan. This article discusses the original reason for the appearance of problems of students with financial difficulties, its situation and effects.
