The philosopher, Plato ever wrote a sentence about education in his book of Utopia, Volume 4: "once the wheels start out, the speed will be increasing." Indeed, the knowledge, view and methods of education are changing all the time in educational history. However, there is a character that didn't change in the history of educational development, which is attractiveness from teaching to audience. Attractiveness exists everywhere from lectures by philosophers in ancient Greece to special speeches by masters in modern universities. We call the attractiveness from teaching to audience "teaching charm".As a new academic field , teaching charm has gone into the sight of educational researchers. The field is not only full of vitality and attraction, but also complication and challenges. A lot of successful practices of excellent teachers have become a beautiful scene in reforming course and teaching and laid a solid foundation of furthering research in teaching charm.In this thesis, teaching charm means a power produced by teachers' integrative qualities, which can attract students to fulfill tasks hard and perfect themselves actively. The research started from analysis of the concept "charm", then concretely studied the meaning, characteristics, functions of teaching charm and its ways of testing, which was all based on the interrelated theory of psychology, pedagogy, principles of management and aesthetics. The thesis also took a deep analysis of the origin, inner structure and influencing factors of teaching charm, and ended up with the strategies of promoting it. Concretely, this thesis developed over several parts as bellows:Chapter 1, topic on purpose. Mainly on the purpose and reasons of this researching. Chapter 2, topic on the concept. Mainly on its meaning, characteristics, origin and the relations between teaching charm and teacher's charm. Chapter 3, topic on its nature based on the studies of multi-subjects, which will give a support for discussing the structure and function of it. Chapter 4, topic on its structure. Mainly on the influencing factors of teaching charm. Chapter 5, topic on development of teaching charm. Mainly on the strategies to promote teaching harm from teaching appearance, teaching language, teaching knowledge, teaching research, teaching feeling, teaching skills, teaching morality.The results of this paper would be of great help and reference value to promote teaching harm, speed up teachers' growing fully and healthily and improve the quality of high education.
