In 1998, the Shanghai Municipal Education Commission launched the second phase of curriculum reform. The fall of 2002, Shanghai second phase curriculum reform into Integrity of the pilot phase. By 2005, it reached to a full implementation of new curricula and teaching materials. In order to better track the new curriculum in the implementation process to achieve the effectiveness and problems in teaching the history academic in Shanghai, I carried out a comprehensive survey within the scope of the history of our education and teaching, by cooperating with the backbone of the 4th Education Department for History academic teachers and leaders in Pudong New Area.This paper takes a combination of two methods of studying, that is, survey and interview whose interviewees are over 4500 Chinese students from 15 junior high schools and 6 high schools of Pudong New Area, 4th Education Department. They did a questionnaire survey, while some of the students and furthermore, history teachers conducted in-depth interviews, obtaining a more accurate data.Junior middle school students to learn the history of the survey mainly involves six aspects: learning attitude to history, extra-curricular knowledge, the condition of history class, cooperative learning, practice and learning assessment; pairs of high school students to learn the history of the survey content includes: historical learning attitude, history textbooks, extra-curricular knowledge of history, the condition of history class, cooperative learning, assignments, academic evaluation, capability of using history. Through survey data and systematic analysis of the interview , the status quo of history learning of students in Pudong New Area, 4th Education Department could be got basically, meanwhile, the author put forward some views on the basic status quo.This report is mainly from the preface, body, and conclusion of three parts.The body is divided into four chapters. The First chapter, the Shanghai Pudong New Area, 4th Education Department the Current status of Junior high school students History learning investigation and reflection; Second chapter, the Current status of high school students History learning investigation and reflection; Third chapter, the comparative analysis of the Current status for the Junior & Senior of high school students History learning; Fourth chapter, the overall thinking and recommendations for Current status of high school history teaching.The text is designed to front-line teachers and departments to understand the history Education in Shanghai of classroom teaching and student learning to provide information to help Shanghai high school new history curriculum reform smoothly & successfully.
