| With higher education becoming increasingly complicated, a variety of methods for modern human resources management has been introduced to colleges and universities and one of them is performance evaluation. Teaching laboratory is operated to take on experimenting tasks on the basis of teaching plans and experimenting syllabus and its predominant tasks are to set up experimenting plans, to compose textbooks or instruction books, to open experimental classes, to perfect experimental equipments according to experimental teaching tasks and to train advisors ensuring the smoothness of the whole teaching process.By means of performance evaluation, Beihua University could comparatively accurately grasp fundamental conditions for experimental teaching and constructions for building teaching laboratories. Further more, the analysis and research for performance assessing information could help us figure out the appropriate measures that should be taken. Only in this way can scientifically managing teaching laboratories be realized. However, there are still some problems in performance evaluation system, which are listed as follows:First, although relevant administrative department of teaching laboratories have tried to evaluate the performance of the teaching laboratories with regard to their construction and management, but have not come up with a comparatively complete evaluating system, only to borrow the indicator system employed by some super ordinate department to evaluate universities' teaching laboratories. From a practical point of view, the results were less than ideal. Second, the indicator system for performance evaluating is too much complex with loose management. The complexity and looseness of management results in the lack of clear guiding information for performance indicators supplied to assessed candidates and participants. Besides, the lack of correlativeness among indicator systems with no systematic and strategic target as direction, no universal standards among all relevant functional departments, the lack of coordination and interaction in relevant policy and the complexity of management and operation all account for that.Third, the experimental teaching capabilities of the teaching laboratories, the researching capabilities in applying basic technology, scientific achievement and supply of society-oriented counseling in science and service are not all incorporated in performance assessing system. In addition there is not sufficient attention to comprehensive utilization potency of laboratories.Fourth, teaching laboratory is a major experimental teaching to students established. , its use of a relatively high utilization, with a focus is also more important, the proportion of the laboratories of the performance assessing system is inappropriate.Keys to solving these problems lie in the increasing attention to teaching laboratories. Apart from that, in the process of universities construction, if only deepen the attention to the construction and development of laboratories, improve the present condition, promote the faculties in laboratories, set up security system to put the development of teaching laboratories on the first place could performance evaluation system achieve its desired effects, such as supervising development of and improve utilization teaching laboratories.If the original teaching laboratory on the basis of practical teaching resources will be a reasonable schedule them into laboratory construction, improve laboratory equipment, pilot projects will be wide open. Laboratory management from the school, the Center and the College were in charge, the units their own way on their respective importance of teaching laboratories in varying degrees, laboratories, a small number of full-time staff, and some specialized laboratories in more than three full-time positions. The formulation of rules and regulations is not perfect, so there would be defects in the appraisal process. Experimental teaching arrangements, unreasonable, experimental teaching first-line test teachers and laboratory technicians did not receive a certain degree of attention; there is no perfect mechanism for specific issues such as training, making assessment of a problem.The establishment and improvement of the performance appraisal system should be trained on the assessment, and strengthen awareness of performance appraisal so that everyone understand the meaning of assessment, give full play to the role of the organizational leadership assessment, systematic application of the results of the examination, compared with the performance appraisal system for Teaching Laboratory implementation of the safeguards provided.This paper analyzes the status quo and problems of performance assessing system of teaching laboratories in Beihua University, the teaching laboratory has improved performance assessing system for the design, in improving the performance appraisal system in the process of the indicators, focused on anevaluation of indicators improved--Laboratory Performance. Purpose of the study is in line with Beihua University's strategic development goals, build a set of scientific, operational and effective teaching laboratory performance appraisal system, and improve the teaching laboratory level of performance. |
