At present, China's higher education has made rapid developments. Carrying out teachers Encouraging research, fully mobilizing the enthusiasm and creativity of teachers, improving the quality and efficiency of school and making the school full of vitality and development potential, has become a pressing issues that college further deepens the reform of the internal management.The western colleges and universities are playing an increasingly important role throughout the country's economic construction and development of education, and their positions are very special, So the study of the western colleges and universities is particularly important. The report is made up of five parts.The first part is the introduction which introduces the background of incentives research for colleges and universities in the western provinces since the development of higher education and describes the meaning and purpose of the research, at the same time, pointing out that if we want the development of education and to be one of a high level of first-class universities, teachers are the key factor. Teachers are no doubt the first important resource in colleges and universities. To carry out a study of incentives for teachers is of unusual significance.The second part is the theory of incentives and demands which introduces Western classical theory of incentives and the characteristics and meanings of it on the domestic and foreign theories including the need for theoretical level, two-factors motivation theory, the theoretical expectations, strengthening theory, theory of fairness, the Buddha of the Alder ERG theory. Besides, the characteristics and the levels of needs are described, then classify the demands and identify the characteristics of the demands. The third part, firstly, the status of China's college teachers incentive study are of a systematic analysis which points out that the uniform management model of the colleges and universities does not change with the enrollment of students in schools, school-level and mode. The several decades followed traditional concepts do not take a great change will inevitably lead to problems in certain extent on teachers'incentives. Next, pointing out the important role of exploring the needs of teachers, analyzing the reasons of the shortage of teachers incentive, studying the careers of teachers, designing a scientific, humane system of incentives for attracting and enstabilizing the talents of colleges and universities, stimulating the enthusiasm and creativity of teachers, implementing the effective management and sustained incentives in colleges and universities.The fourth part is the Research Positive part. Using the ERG theory, combined with their personal properties, designing a questionnaire for the quality of teachers'life needs, personal development and social relationship needs to make a fully aware of requirements and satisfaction on the following 14 aspects :the teachers salaries, the level of welfare, housing conditions, job evaluation, job Promotion, competition, the opportunities for the development and so on, and then use SPSS statistical software to analysis the demand and satisfaction of teachers in colleges and universities, as well as analysis the differences between the demand and the satisfaction.The part V is the empirical conclusions and recommendations. On the basis of the evidence, point out the current phenomenon of the provincial colleges and universities incentives: to improve their living conditions is the top demand, and its satisfaction is at the back of comparison, the remuneration and the level of well-being is of high demand and low satisfaction, and give the relevant recommendations.
