The phenomenon of "pay attention to class, ignore the play" is in the kindergarten practice. It has become a common problem in preschool education. It is mentioned in Bronfenbrenner's theory of the ecology of human development that the research of human behavior and development has to be put into an interrelated, mutual influencing and interactional ecosystem to explore the role of various ecological environments in the ecosystems on human behavior and development, and the role of people interact with a variety of ecological environment. It provides a new perspective to study the problem of kindergarten play. This study adopted qualitative research methods which the ecology of human development advocated, including natural observation, interview method, and so on. Analyze the cases of kindergarten play with the ecology of human development's micro system theory to find the characteristics of the kindergarten play in the perspective of activity, interpersonal relation and role. Finally provide some profitable enlightenment to the theory and practice of the kindergarten play.This study includes five parts:Preface, this part includes raising questions, reviewing literature, explaining the core concept-"ecology of human development" and "kindergarten play", and introducing the use of research methods.In the first part, kindergarten play is studied in the perspective of activity, which includes four dimensions:content, psychological momentum, activity structure, and the complexity of the perceived ecological field. Then summarize the characteristics of the kindergarten play in the perspective of activity.In the second part, kindergarten play is studied in the perspective of interpersonal relation, which includes three kinds of interpersonal relation styles:observational relationship, joint activity relationship, and primary relationship. Then summarize the characteristics of the kindergarten play in the perspective of interpersonal relation.In the third part, kindergarten play is studied in the perspective of role. The role orientation of the teachers and children in the kindergarten play is studied through analyzing the play case. Then summarize the characteristics of the kindergarten play in the perspective of role.In the fourth part, the enlightenment of the kindergarten play theory and practice is discussed according to the analysis above. Reflect on this study, and put forward prospect of the future research.
