This survey focuses mainly on the combination of multi-media techniques and the teaching of Chinese, which tends to find a high efficiency and scientific Chinese teaching approach. The survey is divided into three aspects as follows: firstly, how to realize the combination of traditional Chinese teaching and the culture of information technology by using multi-media techniques; secondly, how to overcome the side-effects of "multi-media technique" (that is, the overuse of multi-media and the net language) on Chinese teaching; finally, to build up an effective assessment system on the combination of multi--media techniques and the teaching of Chinese.In order to learn about the situation and efficiency of using Multimedia Technology in Chinese Teaching, the members of the subject group have gathered a great deal of raw materials, done a lot of research into them and got accurate and believable data. Based on these data and combination with the real situation of present Chinese Teaching, the subject group designs many plans to optimize and integrate the teaching procedure. After practice for some time, we select some practical ones and write down the process and results, which is our preliminary achievements.This research subject has three features. Firstly, we have made intensive research into the use of Multimedia Technology in all-subject teaching activities, finding out whether Multimedia Technology can be applied to Chinese teaching and improve teaching efficiency. Secondly, we collect varieties of optimized and integrated examples, covering several major aspects in Chinese Teaching. They are easy to carry out in the real teaching practice. Thirdly, we come up with some new assessment program on the use of Multimedia Technology in Chinese Teaching, trying to build a set of scientific assessment system.In the appendix are some articles of research findings and what we have gained in the course of doing the research, which may provide some referential value.
