A Child fairy tale is a beautiful,fabulous,fantastic and imaginary story. Through splendid imagination, it breaks through the constraints of time and space and brings unlimited surprise and happiness for little ones and satisfies their curiosity by changing the ordinary world into a wonderful and unreal realm. A fairy is very important for a child' s mind development. Its fascination lies not only on the abundance of mentality significance but also the literature characteristics. Being as the main literature type in children' s sprite life, Child fairy tales have special effects on children' s imagination cultivation and thinking capability and aesthetic appreciation ability improvement. Therefore, Child fairy tales play an important role in primary school language teaching practice. In this thesis, the relationship between Child fairy tales and language teaching was firstly described from three perspectives of course,teacher and student. Then the language teaching practice in primary schools both in our country and abroad was studied,compared and analyzed. Finally it was summarized to three kinds of methods in Child fairy tale teaching strategy in primary schools: to better select subjects of Child fairy tales, to improve fairy appreciation ability of teachers, and to improve teaching methods. About the teaching methods, it was brought forward that reading texts should go before teaching material analysis,fairy teaching is combined to games,to attach the importance to instructions for out-class reading. It hoped that, through the study described in the thesis, it will drive language educationists, especially the teaching material editors and language teachers, to pay more attentions to primary Child fairy tale teaching, and do a better job on primary language teaching by taking advantage of the unique value of Child fairy tales and following their own disciplines and rules.
