Against the background of modern education development, the application of classroom discussion plays a significant part in Chinese language teaching in Senior High School. In addition, discussion has gradually become an essencial link in the process of Chinese language teaching. At present, a large quantity of domestic Chinese language classroom teaching practice as well as available research on discussion approach, however, focuses on different forms and process of classroom discussion. In fact, the worst cause for the inefficiency in classroom discussion lies in that what is scheduled to be discussed is quite confused with what is to be taught, thus both of which very much divorced from each other. Therefore, based on the fact that classroom discussion is regarded as one of the Chinese language classroom teaching links in Senior High School, combining the research with classroom teaching practice, the authur of this thesis has made a further probe on how to design teaching process and how to lead students to discuss in class, making discussion standardized and clarified from content to forms on the base of the requirements for current social education and Chinese language teaching text. This thesis lays much emphasis on how classroom discussion can effectively achieve teaching objectives, how to stimulate students' discussion effectively, and summarizing much more complete,systematized and concrete means of Chinese language classroom discussion in Senior High School. This thesis aims to add to Senior High School Chinese Language teachers' knowledge of the value of classroom discussion, inspire teachers to make full use of discussion approach in classroom teaching while focusing on students' learning, and keep improving classroom teaching efficiency.
