Modern information technology, especially Internet technology, a strong impetus to the comprehensive development of geographical education, in order to provide quality education to carry out a broader approach. And its rich resources on the Internet, students have access to a variety of information, vision is more open, thinking no longer be textbooks, classroom constraints, the traditional closed the teaching can not meet the requirements of the times. Based on modern information technology, geography open teaching model is under the condition of modern information technology to student development as the core of the teaching methods designed to provide students with an atmosphere of self-learning as much as possible to broaden the students to learn geography of space and vision, develop their creative thinking, to achieve quality education and teaching geography and train suitable for the development of a new era of high-quality social talents.This paper seeks to teaching theory of modern education under the guidance of open practice at the operational level geography teaching to research. Full-text includes five major sections. The first part is introduction, from the analysis of the problem, research significance, research state, geographic connotation of open teaching, research ideas and methods to explain the geographic-based information technology, open teaching, a great change in this teaching mode geographical learning styles of students, but the current study of geography teaching in open view, in our application is also not wide enough, the theoretical system is not very perfect, and there are no practical level, various models of the theory of summing up the teaching of the steps so easy to operate . The second part mainly expounds the teaching of geography open the theoretical foundation and basic characteristics of self-learning theory, constructivist theory, theory of multiple intelligences, cooperative learning theory, information science theory, information technology, based on the geographical conditions of open teaching and research provides a theoretical basis for . Based on modern information technology, geography Open Teaching in the implementation process should students as the main body, close to life, close to the students so that students independently explore the development and common progress of teachers and students in teaching, information literacy continues to increase. The third Part discusses the geographic-based information technology open the main content of teaching, from teaching philosophy, teaching content, teaching mode, the teaching process, teaching forms of organization, teaching space, teaching evaluation of seven open-ended teaching of argument in respect of the specific open content and the specific means of implementation. The fourth part deals with the geographic information technology-based open-ended teaching several models, which mainly describes the problem Guidance-self-inquiry teaching, thematic exploration-Web Development Teaching,activities,experience-based teaching, the network environment and four modes of inquiry teaching , papers from the basic steps, the specific content and teaching effectiveness and other aspects of the various models described the specific method of operation. These types of teaching, when we should pay attention in building four principles:the main principles of student activities, encourage innovation principles, theory and practice of the principle of the principle of large amount of information. The fifth part summarizes the conditions of modern information technology and geography under the effect of the open practice of teaching and direction of development.The implementation of open teaching geography to stimulate the students interest in learning, improve teaching performance, teachers and students in all aspects of the ability to be improved. In this paper, under the condition of the current information technology, geography teaching is instructive. However, due to modern information technology, open education is a new teaching methods, both theory and practical operation, all need to be further explored and improved.
