Teachers incentive is the central task of the school management. After a thorough reference to the theories and literature of motivation mechanism, the author has extracted the foothold of the present research:the relationship among motivation mechanism, work satisfaction, working enthusiasm and work performance. With the current status of teachers incentive mechanism in Zhangjiagang Leyu Senior High School as a stand, the author have carried out two surveys about the work satisfaction and working enthusiasm in the school, then after analyzing the results of the surveys, the authors has pinpointed the defects of the existing teachers incentive mechanism in the school and put forward some suggestions in an endeavor to improve it.The present paper is made up of five parts as follows.The first part gives a general introduction to the background, purposes, significance, and methods of the research. In addition, the literature review, research approaches, research framework, and research contents are also covered in the part.The second part introduces the general situation of the Zhangjiagang Leyu Senior high school and it's existing teachers incentive mechanism; on top of that, the author analyses in-depth the advantages and disadvantages of the mechanism adopted in the school.The third part is about the survey of teachers' work satisfaction in Zhangjiagang Leyu senior High School. The author analyses the statistics collected in the survey and draw five conclusions, on which the analysis of teachers'incentive mechanism can be based.The fourth part is about the survey of the teachers'working enthusiasm in the school. The author analyzes the results of the survey from different angles and then five conclusions have been drawn, which aslo provide grounds for the analysis of the teachers' incentive mechanism.In the last part of the paper, on basis of the two surveys conducted in the school, the author summarizes the existing defects of the teachers'incentive mechanism adopted in Leyu Senior High School, and comes up with several constructive suggestions to improve it.The contributions and innovations of the present paper lie in the following aspects: First, it abstracts the interrelationship among incentive mechanism, work satisfaction, working enthusiasm and work performance as the premise of the study; Second, it creatively designs the questionnaire of the teachers'working enthusiasm in rural areas; Third, on the basis of surveys about work satisfaction and working enthusiasm, it proposes several counter-measures to improve the existing mechanism.
