In March 2003, the ministry of education promulgated senior school Curriculum Standard of Physics (Experimental) and nowadays the new curriculum reform has become a remarkable swift trend that is progressing smoothly all over the nation. The ideas of new curriculum promote cooperative learning but whether the ideas of new curriculum can be transformed into actual teaching behaviors is the key point and bottleneck of curriculum reform. What does real teaching behaviors of high school physics cooperative study like? What is the cause to current situation? And how can we modify teaching behaviors so as to fit standards of new curriculum better? This paper will study these questions along the main line of theory-empiric-theory.I selected 2 key high schools,2 non-key high schools and 40 physics teachers in Hengyang City Hunan Province as sample of the research. In 2009 from October to December, with methods of classroom observation, interviews, questionnaires and others, I studied teaching behaviors of physics cooperative learning in 4 schools above; understood comprehensively current situation of classroom behaviors of physics cooperative learning; analyzed causes to the situation and proposed strategies of improval.Survey result shows, that teaching behavior of senior school physics cooperative learning is gradually replacing traditional teaching behavior of feeding; that some teachers do not know the theory of physics cooperative learning; that teachers and students from different schools or grades participant cooperative learning in different degrees; degree of difficulty of physics content affects the conduct of cooperative learning; cooperative learning has beneficial effects as well as adverse effects; non-intellectual factors affect teaching behavior of cooperative learning. The causes that lead to current situation include factor of teacher, factor of student, factor of laboratory equipment, workload of teachers, number of students in class, class time settings of physics classes, etc.Based on current situation investigation and cause analysis, I proposed several strategies:(1)for the aspect of teachers, strengthen the training of teaches so as to transform teachers'concept about teaching and to improve their quality and self-renewal capability;(2)for the aspect of students, enhance the educating of students'emotion and self-confidence and the understanding of physics cooperative learning theory;(3)for other aspects, improve hardware facilities, examination & evaluation system and physics class time settings and plan the content of cooperative learning properly.
