| The educational issue of juveniles has attached increasing attention in the society so that the educational experts and scholars in mounting numbers are beginning to realize that Parent Education is really important and necessary. Juveniles'healthy growth is greatly related to the future of their country and Parent Education is one of the indispensable and effective ways. Nowadays, more and more countries in the world have carried out their programs of Parent Education on basis of their own strength because they believe that the improving quality of parents can provide a solid foundation for that of their children. As a nation of powerful education and one of the strongest countries, America has also done something about its Parent Education. However, little research on Parent Education of America can be found in the interior of China. So the writer regards the history of Parent Education in America as the point of penetration and tries to study it systematically. This thesis aims at ascertaining the developing process of its Parent Education by combing and sorting through the history of Parent Education in America and comprehending its current situation. Another aim of this research is to try to draw a conclusion about its redeeming feature and its shortage so that it can promote us awareness and reflection of Parent Education in our own country and give us some new ideas about how to drive forward our Parent Education.This thesis includes three parts except Preface and Conclusion. The first part is about the history of Parent Education in America which is divided into three periods according to the representative happening in the history. The second part is about the current situation of Parent Education carried out in America in terms of its aims, contents, methods, ways and the organizations and policies about it. The third part is mainly about the writer's standpoint on Parent Education in America which includes the analysis of the features and the statement of its predicament. |
