With the constant deepening of educational research and a variety of mathematical tools, Education quantification has been paid more and more attention by scholars, and many mathematical analysis methods have been applied to educational research. The gray system theory is a new discipline founded by well-known scholar Professor Deng Julong in 1982, the theory takes the uncertain system of "partial information known and partial information unknown" "small samples", "lacking information" as its object of research. It extracts valuable information and describes and monitors the running behavior and evolving rules by generating and developing partial known information. It is applied to data mining relying on its advantages and is used successfully in many fields. However, a number of factors in education research are uncertainties, so it can be said that the education system is a gray system, therefore, to solve the problem it is no doubt that the gray system theory can be used the to solve the problems of educational research and has certain advantages.With the constant deepening of New Curriculum Reform, it is urgent to change the role of teachers, and education has proposed a higher demand of teachers'capacity. The curriculum capacity is the core of teachers'capacity, so how to improve the curriculum capacity of teachers has become the focus of research. In this paper, the author takes the curriculum capacity of teachers as the object of research, explores the application of correlative analyzing method of gray system theory in the field of educational research and simply improved it. The author tries to search for the methods, advantages and disadvantages, etc, of applying gray system theory to educational research to make preparation for the more in-depth study in the future as well as seeking for the correlative superiority factor influencing teachers'capacity of design curriculum and providing the basis of improving it.
