With the rapid development of information technology and the advent of the era of internet and big data,people are gradually exposed to the digital living environment,How to improve the digital capability of college students,a new generation of digital citizen,and make sure they are able to switch between real and virtual worlds is worth to think about.By summarizing the relevent research literatures over the past years,this thesis recommends a definition for "the digital capacity of college students":the ability for college students to access appropriate learning or living resources by legal application of information technology.By studying the previous researches on the evaluation criteria of digital capability,the essential elements of the evaluation system of digital capability are summarized as follow:consciousness,technology and sociality.For college students learning is an indispensable form of production and living,and whether in the real world or the virtual world,they must abide by the restriction of moral code to form an orderly behavior civilization.Therefore,this thesis divides the digital capability of college students into five branches:unconscious thought,technical management,digital learning,social culture,and behavior morality,so as to analyze thirty elements in each branch and refining them into thirty-six items of grade? index.The study also calculates the weight radio of each index by combining Delphi expert consultation method with APH method,and finally determines the evaluation system of college students' digital capability.According to the cognitive characteristics of college students,the author sets an evaluation index for college students' digital capability and presents it in the form of concrete questions in a questionnaire survey of present situation of college students'digital capability.These questions were sent to the local universities and colleges in Zhejiang,Fujian,Guangzhou,Hubei,etc in electronic form.With the combination of five dimensions and the analysis of questionnaire data,it is concluded that contemporary undergraduates have gradually developed their survival consciousness,which allows them to enjoy a convenient digital life as well as focus on the application effect of technology in learning and living.But these students are short for the information security awareness and other digital survival situations.This thesis compares the present situation of the investigation with previous study conclusions,putting forward some suggestions and measures for strengthening the education of college students' digital capability.
