| The phenomenon of PE teachers'burnout has been of great concern. We learn more about the nature, status quo and causes via theoretical analysis of the existing research onThen, factors resulting in Nantong middle school PE teacher' burnout have been defined, including social factors, school factors, interpersonal factors, professional and personal factors. According to these five factors, we sketched out the corresponding questionnaire and interviews withgood reliability and validity for Nantong Middle School PE Teachers in the survey.This study involves 79 schools and more than 500 middle school PE teachers from Nantong, applying diverse research methods of literature data, questionnaires, interviews, statistics and analysis. Through the Maslach Burnout Inventory, referred to as MBI, the most widely used measurement and questionnaires, we have concluded that as follows:(1) Middle school PE teachers'burnout in Nantong, widespread, has been placing in the medium to high level. (2) Rural schools and urban middle school teachers, because of income, status and other factors, are under the influence of different degrees of burnout, the degree of PE teachers'burnout in the township on is higher than urban ones. (3) Social factors, school factors, occupational factors and interpersonal factors have significant influence on emotional exhaustion. (4) Social factors, school factors, occupational factors, interpersonal factors and personal factors have a significant effect on dehumanization. (5) School factors, occupational factors and personal factors have a significant effect on personal accomplishment.Research indicates that causes which leads to Nantong middle school PE teachers' burnout are so diverse that we should take multi-level countermeasures. This paper respondes to five factors and interoperates support from the school level, career development level, individual level and social dimensions to propose mitigation strategy dealing with Nantong Middle School PE Teacher Burnout.
