As China's personnel system changes, as the unpopular project weightlifting, their re-employment of retired athletes increasingly serious situation in which there are many problems must be resolved. In this paper, literature, expert interviews, questionnaires and other research methods, the use of career planning and management of related theories on China's high-level weight lifters career planning and management of research. Through research, this paper drew the following major conclusions:1. Athlete's career can not be divided by the conventional theory of stages, its specificity lies in its career is bound to experience a more difficult career transition.2. For the athletes career planning and management from an organizational perspective, and athletes both personally inspected. China's high-level athletes in the national training system, the sports organizations for their career planning and management training, guidance is essential, but this role of sports organizations have serious deficiencies.3. At present, China high-level weightlifters career planning and management awareness is weak, the lack of sense of competition, career less competitive. Re-employment in the biggest obstacle is the lack of cultural knowledge, while the light is currently re-training to learn our competitive sports training model is to generate the root causes of this problem.4. Weightlifters of China's high-level post-graduate study after retirement is a more ideal choice. This requires relevant departments to develop and to relax policies to encourage the re-retired athletes to study and properly solve their financial and other difficulties. Athletes must establish individual career planning and management awareness, sense of competition, and external circumstances of their own careful analysis, accurately suited to their development.Residing in the above findings, this paper proposes the following recommendat ions:1. Athletes should be a high degree of long-term interests and strategic considerations of our sports training system, from a fundamental change in a single focus on the concept of competitive sports results from the comprehensive development system for athletes to give protection, so that athletes really combination of learning and training to address the fundamental problems of their employment difficult.2. In light of China's high-level athletes, career planning and management system for the status quo, the Government, at all levels of sports organizations should shoulder the responsibility of the athlete's selection, training, selection and implementation of all aspects of scientific management, and their careers to conduct a comprehensive, coherent planning and management. To enable athletes to their career have a clear understanding and rational planning.3. High-level athletes should be clearly present the policies, systems and employment situation, and discard all "and so on, rely on, to" ideas, establish a sense of competition, to face the situation with their own post-retirement career transition, searching for their own development path.
