Middle School "Xinyu" Composition Teaching Practice Project

Based on the status of teaching and theoretical research of composition in the junior middle school, as well as the psychological characteristics of junior school students and the requirement of new curriculum, we analyzed the necessity of the application of "Xinyu"(words of the heart) method in the teaching of composition. The "Xinyu" is a method of "student-friendly" and of teaching student how to behave but not only how to write. "Xinyu" is aiming to achieve the final purpose of education, which is known as "Life Concerns". We conducted our research by the questionnaire survey, experimentation, observation and theoretical research.This study focused on the content, methods and procedures of the practice of "Xinyu". First of all, we introduced the content of "Xinyu" from the true inner self, the nature, the society in hearts and the "Xinyu minefield", which refers to the timidness, uneasiness, inconvenience and inarticulateness. Secondly, we represent four methods of the "Xinyu" practice, which are:(1) to analyze the psychological characteristics of the object; (2) to create the atmosphere of "Xinyu" composition; (3) to open the door for the unsociable students, apply the "Xinyu" guiding method and bring students to enjoy the release of "Xinyu";(4) to eliminate the negative factors, and guide students to open hearts and express their views.At last, we introduced the procedures of the employment of "Xinyu":(1) to induce "Xinyu" based on selecting the title ingeniously; (2) multi-pronged approach to stimulate "Xinyu"; (3) writing to express "Xinyu"; (4) to inspire and evaluate "Xinyu"; (5) to exchange the experience and to talk about the practice procedures of "Xinyu". By the implementation of "Xinyu" composition teaching practice project for junior middle school students, we analyzed the corresponding relation between the original purpose and the results of practice to provide more focused practice.
