Accompanying with the increase of the living pace and the aggravation of the competition, a number of modern "civilization" diseases like influenza, which spread in majority of practitioners. Burnout is an especially large "influenza" in the group of teachers, which not only has a large infected area, but also the extent of the infection that has a great threat to the teachers'physical and mental health, the living quality, the construction of teacher teams, and also caused direct negative impacts to the education and the development of the students.This research in which 206 high school biology teachers in the 8 same level cities in Jilin Province have been surveyed through questionnaires, interviews and case analysis methods, displays the burnout status of high school biology teachers, compares the differences of the high school biology teachers'burnout from the 11 aspects of the demographic variables, and also analyzes the causes. Thus the countermeasures are put forward to mitigate the burnout of the high school biology teachers.Chapter 1 of this article illustrates the reasons of the topic selected, purpose, significance and the definition of the related concepts.Among them, the poor physical health and psychological problems of the teachers and lacking of the teachers'professional happiness, which illustrates the unsatisfactory of the living condition for the teachers. The body would make resistive reflections living in the inappropriate environment for long-term, in which burnout is the initial reaction. If this situation is not under control for mitigation, the burnout would turned to be "deterioration" if let it change freely, and thus the incalculable consequences would generate. So, the burnout research is imminent. This is the key reason of this topic.For the significance in this research, the paper which attempts to hackle the related research abroad theoretically and to enrich the theoretical research content of the burnout of our country's teachers; it aims mainly to improve the status of the burnout for teachers in practice, and provide the theories of the burnout for the teachers and relevant departments.The related several groups of concepts have also been taken out for the mutual relations: the burnout and the mental health of the teachers; the burnout and the professional pressure of the teachers; the burnout and the living conditions of the teachers; the burnout and the professional happiness of the teachers.Chapter 2 mainly summarizes the domestic and foreign scholars'literatures for the research of the burnout.Chapter 3 mainly summarizes the procedure of this research and the burnout survey for biology teachers of the high school. The survey shows that: the burnout prevalently exists in the biology teachers of Jilin Province high school. And most of the teachers are in the medium level of the burnout. The emotion of the teachers exhausted, the low sense of achievement is high, and personalization is not serious. Using age as a reference factor, the development characteristics of the biological teachers'burnout are as follows: the burnout appears easily in the three stages of the career, which means that is the 5 years just stepping into the faculty position, during the period of teaching ages are 11-15 years and 21 years later.Chapter 4 mainly analyzes the reasons of the job burnout for the high school biology teachers from three levels of teachers, schools, society and organization.There are four reasons for the teachers themselves: the "Burnout-type" factor exists in the personal characteristics of the teachers. The teaching professional faith is not strong, the career expectations are too high.There are three reasons for the schools themselves: there is a lack of human caring in the school management. Teaching work is overloaded. The students are difficult to be managed.There are three reasons for the society and organizations: awkward relationship between teachers and parents. The treatment for teachers is low. The teachers can not suit to the reform of the new curriculum.Chapter 5 mainly proposes the countermeasures for mitigating the job burnout for the high school biology teachers from three levels of society and organization, schools, teachers.There are three countermeasures for the society and organization level: to improve the social status and the treatment of the teachers. The importance should focus on the private school teachers. The local education department in charge should carry out "effective" work.There are five countermeasures for the school level: to implement humanistic management. To establish a scientific, rational and fair evaluation system for the teachers. To create a harmonious and collaborative interpersonal culture for the teachers. To provide opportunities of continue learning and studies for the teachers. To concern about the personal life of the teachers.There are four countermeasures for the teachers themselves: to adjust the attitude, to understand the burnout in a right way. To read classic literatures using "text" to educate selves. To consummate operational capacities. To cultivate their own interests, to have a rich amateur cultural life.
