The status differentiation of students in the class is an objective reality, and it has an important impact on the level of self-expectation, self-concept formation, mental health and development of students and construction of the class. This article attempts to systematically study the status differentiation of students in the class and provide theoretical and factual basis for the microscopic study of educational equity, and richen the class sociological study from a new perspective. The researcher mainly has studied the status differentiation of students in a class of grade8 in S Middle School of Fuyang , including the status stratification of the class power and different possession of cultural capital and prestige category. The reasons of status differentiation of students are in the school system and teacher expectations and family background and social factors. Teachers have a mind of expected classification, and have different social interaction with students according to the classification, thus laying the basis of the social status of the students in the class. Teacher's suggestion would not only affect the attitude orientation between peers, but also affect an individual's self-evaluation of students, and therefore further strengthen the individual's social status of student in the class. The status differentiation of students in a class refers to that all students in the same class at the same starting line have been developed into different individuals and the process of different social status through the operation of class and social life. Bourdieu believed that economic capital, cultural capital and social capital, which the three kinds of capital determines an individual life and status in the social class differentiation. In class society, the researcher grafted Weber and Bourdieu's point of view, based upon the actual situation and summarized the three dimensions of the status differentiation of students in a class into the differences in the power capital, prestige capital and cultural capital. Student academic performance is the cultural capital of student .The future members of the school are chosen, not based on student gender, age and family background innate factors, but student achievement, ability level, and so acquired achievements. In modern society, the academic performance of students is main basis for the student evaluation in the school, and even become the only basis in many schools. The academic performance of students in the class affects the class status in the organization and peer group, thus it decided the possession of the class educational resource, and even the living conditions of students in class.Class is a social system, therefore, it has two kinds of structures similar to all social systems: the formal structure and informal structure, and thus constitute two kinds of class status. The formal structure in the class refers to the students as learners, the system set up by teachers. In China, the formal structure is consisted of "cadre class" and the "mass class". However, this teacher-dominant student status in the formal structure can only reflect the classification of teachers to students .The so-called informal structure that generally arise spontaneously among interpersonal exchanges of students ,formed hierarchical structure by the other members giving each student the quality and the level of the respect, care, support and sympathy. The class status of students in the informal structure mainly complies with the interpersonal situation with other members .The study has been found that the types of class status of students in the informal structure can be summarized three categories according to the situation of interpersonal relationship between students: popular persons, the excluded, marginalized people.According to Weber's view, wealth, power and prestige is to examine the three most important indicators of social stratification, but also is an important factor in determining social status. Power is the only factor, affecting student status in the formal organizational structure, or it can be said to be the determining factor. The students in the upper class power structure , hold more power, also occupy a higher social status, whereas the lower social status. Accordance with the general findings of view, the formal structure of the class can be a "pyramid" intuitively demonstrated that the students acted as "cadre role" only are a small number of students in a class, most students just are "the role of the masses". The higher tower-type there are a fewer number of people, but they have greater power, the lower bottom of the tower-type, there are more number of people but they have poorer resources. The different social status in the class makes the different individuals enjoy different cultural resources. Thus, in the same scene in a class, individual students have different learning resources and inner experiences. In order to eliminate inequality of opportunities in the educational process, in the article finally, the author try to put forward some proposals and hope to create educational researchers and practitioners'more attention.
