Study On The Meeting Of Faculty In Higher Education

"Eleventh Five-Year Plan"of education requires that we should fully implement quality education, deepen reform, and build health school internal management system in this period. The faculty meeting, which is the basic form in school democracy management, plays an irreplaceable role in decision-making for school. Especially with the in-depth of administrate school by law, faculty meeting plays prominent role in administrating high schools. Therefore, paying attention and studying faculty meeting system has significant realistic meaning for improving democracy management level of high schools.Based on considering different developments of faculty meeting system in high schools, the author approaches obvious problems of faculty meeting system, summarizes and analyzes the causes of these problems, and absorbs and uses experiences in exploring innovatively present faculty meeting system of high schools as references so as to put forward countermeasures of improving the development for faculty meeting system.The paper consists of four parts: first, legal nature and basic function of faculty meeting, elaborating the concept, historical development, legal origin and qualitative explanation, elaborating five functions of faculty meeting in higher schools'democracy management. Second, the author explores deeply existing problem in faculty meeting system and causes. Third, by analyzing advantage and disadvantage of present higher school's faculty meeting system, under affirming positive effects of the system, the author shows untouched fundamental issues. Fourth, from leadership thinking, legal system and other aspects, the author points out countermeasures for improving faculty meeting system.
