Elementary Classes Of Civic Education Will Be Studied

Meeting is an important content of public life, but the rules of procedure need some learning. Learning how to participate a meeting is an expedient way not only for citizen education, but also for the connection between primary school and citizen education,so the nature of class meeting------one kind of meeting makes it possible to connect class meeting of primary school to citizen education. The first part of the paper clarifies the natural value implicit in class meeting for citizen education. Secondly, through the investigation of the class meetings, which are supervised and programmed by a rural primary school in eastern China, the paper analyzes the topics and the process of class meetings. The results of this research reveal that the influence of the class meetings for citizen education in this school did not work out. The reasons for such conclusion are two. On one hand, it is teachers or the managers of administrative departments who decide the topics of class meetings, which are far away from the students’lives. On the other, teachers as the center element in class meetings exist in the whole meeting process. Based on the above analysis, the paper put forward a scheme of class meetings according to the Robert rules of procedure, which includes previous preparation、specific process and late tracking. Such scheme can give more details and suggestions for primary school teachers to practice a new fashion of class meeting to educate students as citizen, which is a new opening possibility for citizen education in primary school.
