The research takes a class in shanghai as a case by observation, questionnaires, interviews and other research methods. From the perspective of pre-school education, it analysises the status of the first grade students' adaptation to primary school, specifically into the environment, learning, interpersonal and lifestyle。It finds that the students adapt well in the first two months. The students adapt to environment better than other aspects, but there still exists maladjustment, mainly in desks and chairs. In terms of learning adaptation, the biggest problem of adaptation is bad study habits. Concentration and good listening habits are both key to learning adaptation. To some degree, preschool literacy and after-school learning experience is conductive to learning adaptation at the beginning of the term.In terms of interpersonal adaptation, the interaction between teacher and students is good. Few students complain to teachers. But the teachers and parents place different levels of importance on teacher-student interaction. Companion communication is also good in the beginning, but there is more and more complaint as time goes by.In terms of lifestyle, the students'sleeping and emotional states are different before and after in the first two months. Most students can fall asleep well in the beginning, but as time goes by, some students fall asleep better and better while the other students do worse and worse. Most students eat well, but some students would feel hungry after school. And some students still play the toys which they used to play in preschool.According to the eonclusion, we put forward some suggestions to the continuity and transition from kindergarden to primary school.
