The enrolling adaption of first grade primary school student which perplexes the teachers, touches on the studying attitude and tropism of each student during their schooltime even lifetime, effects on the developing state both in mind and body of each student, and even more, it impacts deeply on the students’ scholastic attainments and social achievements. By improving children’s enrolling adaption, especially the social adaption, It can assist them to pass through the “steep hill” successfully, acclimatize themself to the schooltime as quickly as possible, and it also lay a foundation of development of their lifetime.This thesis is based on the sample research of students from a certain class in a primary school(located in Jin Jiang District, Chengdu) which the writer works for. The sample includes 44 students. It researches on the current situation of the social adaption of first grade primary school students by the method of questionnaire surveys, observation, and interviewing etc. and then presents strategies and suggestions to improve their social adaption for school teachers and parents.This study shows that the overall social adaption of new students is all right in the initial stage of the first term, most of them can adapt to their schoollife in the first two months, but there exists individual differences, a small part of them shows maladjustment in some respects. In addition, there are differences among various aspects of the social adaption. The order is mentally emotion > human communication > execution rules > task > independence. That is to say, the worst adaption is independence and living ability, the most common problem is cannot manage their stationery,missing this or that, and the dependent mentality is obvious. On the aspect of task, the rule consciousness and the ability of executing rules are maturing gradually, but the phenomenon of talking at will, playing things in class, and chasing each other after class is common to see. On the aspect of human communication, the communications between teachers and students are mainly happened in class, the students are more passive. Most of them interact well, but several students are unwelcome. On the aspect of mentally emotion, most of them adapt well, the rest act badly, and need more attention.Finally, the social adaption of new students can be enhanced by improving the education environment of school, strengthening the joint consciousness of teachers, and exerting the auxo-action of parents.
