| Talents are the most precious in 21st century, and quality-oriented education is the first priority. Quality-oriented education is the mainstream of educational reform and development in China and even the world. Thus, the all-around enhancement of the quality of population is not only the requirement of social development, but also the sign of progressive time. Calisthenics, as a rising sports event, has an outshining advantage for promoting spiritual insight and shaping perfect personality and physique. As a result, the importance of offering calisthenics course in colleges is obvious. However, nowadays the research on the teaching of calisthenics courses is always at the descriptional level and not very targeted. Therefore, this paper starts from reality in a professional perspective, and performs evidential research on the current situation of calisthenics courses in colleges and universities of Shaanxi by means of reviewing documents, interviewing specialists, performing questionnaires, statistics, and integrated analysis. And the problems, which contain poor student resources, big difference between genders, lack of rationality on the context setting of teaching materials, shortness of teaching materials, single grading method, imperfection of teaching facilities, and weakness on faculty, are still existed in the procedure of calisthenics teaching in colleges of Shaanxi. Aiming at this situation, the author raises corresponding measures which mean properly setting teaching goals, scientifically using teaching methods, elaborately compiling materials, scientifically grading on student's learning, optimizing the faculty, improving the teaching environment, and energetically creating the art atmosphere of campus calisthenics. Hope that this paper would provide evidence for the further perfection of teaching system on calisthenics courses in colleges and universities in Shaanxi and even the nation.
