Colleges as a main front in fulfilling the college ideological and political education are attached great importance and assigned major responsibilities by central government. During the past several decades, the college ideological and political education in our country adopted "the way of inculcating" education and achieved pleasant results at that time. However, educationists gradually found that current dominant education has appeared rather pale and weak in fulfilling ideological and political education independently after a long period of educational practice. The social environment has become extremely complex and the factors affecting college students are extremely diverse, traditional dominant education, which is conducted mainly by "Two Courses", is no longer suitable for the requirements of the times and physical and mental development of the college students. In order to improve the effectiveness of the ideological and political education, it should follow the pace of varied environment and innovate to use a variety of factors to influence college students in addition to ideological and political courses. Thus, it relates to the recessive ideological and political education. The conception of recessive ideological education was first put forwarded by western scholars and introduced to our country in 20th century,80 years and got rapid progress since 90 years. In order to explore the means of realizing ideological and political education, the author starts with the theoretical origin and development of the recessive ideological education, clarifying the definition, characteristics and mechanism of the recessive ideological education, and then focusing on the importance and feasibility of implementing ideological and political education. This thesis consists of four parts:The first part is the theoretical origin and development of the recessive ideological education. This section focuses on analysis of ancient and modern theories related to the recessive ideas, and summarizes development path of the recessive ideological and political education, and introduces its meaning through analysis of the achievements of ancient and modern scholars.Part two is the characteristics and mechanism of the recessive ideological education. Based on further elaborating the meaning of recessive ideological and political education, this section outlines the four characteristics and the mechanism of the recessive ideological education through the knowledge of psychology and other disciplines.The third part concerns the importance and feasibility of implementing ideological and political education. From realities of the dominant ideological education in social transformation, this section draws many advantages of the recessive ideological education from the comparison and analyzes the feasibility of implementing recessive ideological and political education from five aspects.Part four mainly focuses on the multi-level development and construction of the college recessive ideological and political education resources. Based on the analysis of the recessive ideological and political education principles, this part intends to conduct multi-level development and construction of the college recessive ideological and political education resources through integration of recessive educational resources both inside and outside school and network.
