On Employment Guidance Of College Students

The fast development of economy and the penetration of financial crisis make the employment situation more serious for higher vocational graduates. The employment guidance for these students is not a simple maths problem or educational issue, concerning the stability and harmony of the society, the promotion and prosperity of economy and culture. So it's essential to make researches into characteristic guidance for higher vocational graduates in order to serve the district economy and study it synthtically from the perspective of "two patterns" society.Based on some relevant theories and the present situation of employment guidance for higher vocational graduates, highlighting the value trend of "guidance", this thesis discusses its background, essence, contents and the inner connection among multi-dimensional employment guidance and analyzes its recent development by exploiting some methods, such as questionaire, interviewing, follow-up survey, literature search, statistics and contast, etc. Meanwhile, with teachers and students as subjects in three Higher Vocational Colleges in the city of Loudi, this thesis explores its present situation, characteristics, existing problems and the reasons, putting forward some corresponding suggestions. First, employment guidance is essential to higher vocational graduates in the Higher Vocational Colleges; Second, it is necessary to stress the employment guidance through the process of higher vocational education; Third, major establishment and the curriculum system must be market-centered, taking the market need into consideration and enforcing some reforms; Fourth, to train teacher staffs for employment guidance should also be put into emphasis, etc. In a word, we should put employment before everything, aiming to improve the employment quality in the end.
