Education is the value of personal practice. The direction of the values of education determines the direction of educational development. Elementary education is the foundation of national education system. To study elementary education in rural areas, we should first examine its values.The subject of this paper is the values of basic education in rural areas in the process of rural urbanization in China. Clarifying and confirming the value orientation of rural basic education is helpful to the development of theory and practice of elementary education in rural areas. Values of basic education in rural areas will determine the direction of development of basic education in rural areas, determine the fate of peasants and their children, but also determines the rural economy, society and even the entire nation, the country's development and stability. Correct positioning of the process of rural urbanization in China values the problem of basic education in rural areas to become the top priority of education in China.In the current city of this trend, China's rural basic education values the existence of certain problems, to advocate for the city services, "the farm" educational value, but also advocate for the rural service "away from the farm," educational value, these values are not very good service for rural urbanization. It is the currently major subject to review, aware and develop the elementary education in rural areas under the background of urbanization, in order to give full play to it's basic and leading role in the process of urbanization.This process of rural urbanization in the background, based on the current existing in the education in rural basic value orientation of analysis and reflection, and then propose adaptation process of urbanization in rural areas, a new value orientation of rural basic education, and meanwhile discussed Note. This paper is divided into four parts.The first part is introduction, in which it introducts the background, theoretical and practical values of the selection, research methods and the current research status of the subjects.;The second part defines the core concepts to grasp the essence of its meaning. The process of urbanization and rural education and rural basic value orientation of their relationship were described;The third part makes a detailed analyze of the current status of the values of the elementary education, pointing out its rationality and anomaly. On this basis, and made the process of urbanization in rural areas to adapt to the situation of basic education under the values and principles of establishing the value orientation;Part four proposes the development of urbanization in rural areas of this basic education should be a natural response values.This paper makes a deep discussion and analyse of the values of the elementary education in rural areas in the process of urbanization in order to fully grasp its meaning and impact of its theoretical significance, mainly use the method of literature, comparation and the knowledge of comprehensive sociology, philosophy, economics, education and political science.
