The rapid development and wide application of information technology, is not only changing the way we live, but also changing our education system. Information Technology (IT) education has become an obligatory course of Elementary and Secondary Students and enters a stage of all-around popularization. The elementary school IT Curriculum standards are too broad, which leads to a lot of problems in curriculum implementation. However, it also expands the autonomy and flexibility of the course, which makes the courses emerge a new situation just like a hundred flowers in full blossom. Based on this perspective, the study investigates the current situation and points out the problems of primary school IT course in Wucheng District Jinhua City, Zhejiang Province. Then it gives some suggestions and also discusses the special features of curriculum implementation.Firstly, on the basis of vast documentary investigation, this paper summarizes both domestic and foreign situations on the development, implementations and resources of primary school IT Curriculum contents. Then it points out the present features about IT course in domestic primary school. At the same time, this paper analyzes the study directions and dimensions of IT course research literatures, then classifies, extends and summarizes three survey directions for this study:curriculum setting and management, curriculum education evaluation, teaching staff construction.This research adopts approaches such as questionnaire, interview and observation. It designs a questionnaire "Wucheng district primary school IT curriculum" and the samples of questionnaire survey were taken from some of elementary IT curriculum teachers in Wucheng district, and 8 excellent teachers were selected for interview. Through investigation and study, this paper obtains the following preliminary conclusions:course resources construction is in perfect condition but lack of information resources; teaching as many features, but they are weak at the instructional design and teaching reflection; there is no shortage in respect to excellent teachers but the ranks of the teachers are unprofessional on the whole; training is systematic but with limited effectiveness; there are huge differences between urban and rural primary school in curriculum implementation situation, etc.To solve the above-mentioned problems, this study puts forward the following proposals:Teachers should clearify their responsibilities and promote their own values, principals should gradually change their ideas and improve the status of curriculum, leadership should be strengthened at academic teaching and research, carry out effective training.This study is limited by individual capacities in many aspects:the questionnaire is not so meticulous, and lacks further test on reliability and validity. Only parts of information technology teachers are selected as samples which make the scope relatively limited. Research directions are divided by the author after consulting other studies, which may be not perfect. In the future study, the main works such as improving precision of the questionnaire, extending the field of the investigation and narrowing the research directions are far from complete and require further research.
