The word"dialogue"is not unfamiliar to us, as it is involved in all spheres of our daily life. With the new curriculum reform and time of dialogue in our midst, dialogue teaching, a new teaching method differing from the traditional one, attracts great attention. However, a number of problems were exposed when dialogue teaching was put into practice, holding back the process of new curriculum reform. In a bid to find a solution to help with dialogue teaching, after getting full understanding of the New Course Standard, this essay discusses the dialogue teaching method considering of literature, analysis, interview and action research, in attempt to form a discussion on dialogue teaching in both theory and practice. From theory, to help teachers get an all round understanding on the dialogue teaching, while for the practice, to assist a 4-phase dialogue teaching mode so as to maximize practicality. It includes the following five parts:Chapter 1: Overview. Clarifies the source of this essay, and the present research on the topic as well as the value and method on the research of the topic.Chapter 2, Basic view on Chinese dialogue teaching. Defines Chinese Dialogue Teaching method and related concepts, and introduces the features and basic principle, and also defines the overall requirements for Chinese Dialogue Teaching under the New Course Standard.Chapter 3, analyzing the present situation of Chinese dialogue teaching mode. It discusses various problems and causes to these problems. Problems like fake dialogue, formal cooperative learning, antithesis of dialogue and lectures, and aimless dialogue are very common. It is lack of overall understanding on the dialogue teaching that causes these problems. For practice, as there is no a system of scientific dialogue teaching mode, it's very hard to be put into practice.Chapter 4, example of Chinese dialogue teaching mode. From the angle of language, the Chinese dialogue teaching mode takes this process as a dialogue. In this mode, both student and teacher are independent, communication between them are of great interest. Communication and dialogue among students, teachers and texts are the essence of the teaching. This part elaborates the process of Chinese dialogue teaching and shows the problems that may appear.Chapter 5, conditions to realize dialogue teaching. To carry out Chinese dialogue teaching needs a lot of conditions, however, the important factors are the following, change teaching conception, improve teaching quality, optimize teaching environment, and encourage students to participate.
