Learning initiative is a compositive content, which contains a series of mental and behavioral process. In order to give undergraduates some advices on the problems of learning desultoriness, unefficient use of time and resource and so on, this research adopts scientific demonstration method and focuses its concentration on college students. This treatise reveals the structure of learning initiative and searched with the feature and current situation of the initiative of college students learning, the trend of managing time and the Achievement motive. It also discusses the relationship between college students learning, the trend of managing time and the Achievement motive. The results are as follows:①The initiative of college students learning consists of five main factors: the reason to learn, the recognition of learning significance, the maintaining of learning, the adjusting of learning, and the efficiency of learning. Among those factors the cognition part is the significance of learning, motivation part contains the reasons to learn, the behavior part includes the maintaining of learning, the adjusting of learning, and the metacognition part includes the feeling of learning efficiency. The chart made in this treatise-《self-helped learning initiative evaluation》is reliable and efficient, which can be a sustainable, efficient tool to estimate the initiative of college students.②The scores students get in learning initiative and its five factors are average, and the marks on the reasons to learning, the significance of learning are higher, however the scores on the maintaining of learning are the lowest. The students who have different scores on learning initiative is distinctly different on other dimensions, except sustaining learning dimensions③The scores students get on the trend of managing time and its factors are at the average level, the order of scores on three factors from high to low is the sense of valuable time, efficient time, monitoring time;There are obvious differences on learning initiative and dimensionality because of students with different sex, and the result is that the scores girls got are higher than boys';Students who have ever been a cadre in college or academy got higher scores on the aspects: the reasons of learning, the significance to learn, and the learning adjustment than those who never been as a cadre, especially to the factor of the significance of learning. What's more , students ever being a cadre in college level also get higher scores than those never been or as a cadre only in class level.④Students those ever gained provincial or higher reward perform better on learning sustaining and learning efficiency than those just achieved school award, and of cause students those ever gained provincial hortation or more get much higher scores on the factor efficiency of learning than those never obtained any hortation.⑤The students majoring literary and history (including management and art) have stronger sense of the time than those majoring science and engineering, that is to say the formers have deeply understanding on that time has important significance on the development of both individual and society than the latters;Single-family students have better sense of the value of time than normal students, that is single-family children have more profund understanding on the influence of time on both individual and social development.⑥There is a strong relationship between the initiative to learn, time management disposion and Achievement motive. In the regressive analysis of managing time to learning initiative, 2 dimensions of the managing time trend are concerned in the equations: the sense of monitoring time and the sense of time's efficiency. In the regressive analysis of the motivation to pursuit success to learning initiative , the Achievement motive has made an remarkable predicted effect on learning initiative, and its other five dimensions.In the regressive analysis of the Achievement motive to managing time trend, the Achievement motive has marked predicted effect on managing time and its other three dimensions.⑦The agency effect of managing time trend on Achievement motive and learning go-aheadism is marked. The examinations of the two methods created by regression coefficient and structure equation model, have the same result, that is, the motivation to pursuit success not only has directly positive effect on learning initiative but also has indirectly positive effect on learning initiative through the managing time trend.
