Because of the new curriculum reform, the exploitation and utilization of course resource has been taking more and more seriously. The various course resource of the history subject will be good for the development of new curriculum and deepen the middle school historical teaching. Of these history curriculum resources, the history folk rhyme resource, has great significance in improving student's history consciousness and history thought, and can strengthen one's humanity, and will form correct outlook on life,world and values. But, the study of the exploitation and utilization of history folk rhyme resource is not enough. Under this background, the main body of the paper is about investigation and discussion on the exploitation and utilization of history folk rhyme resource; then quests the definition and characteristic of the history folk rhyme resource, and the problem of current situation, principle and methods of exploitation and utilization etc. It is hped that will give some choice and enlightenment to the teacher, who is the developer of the course resource.The first part is of the paper carried out on the definition and classifyiy of folk rhyme and history of folk rhyme. The paper thinks that those folk rhymes which accord with certain historical background and embody some period time of social phenomenon would be defined as history folk rhyme. And these history folk rhymes are chosen because they could benefit the middle school history teaching. On the basis, the paper discusses the significance of the exploitation and utilization of history rhyme resource. And the paper thinks that the exploitation and utilization of the history folk rhyme resource depends on much the value of these important historical material. Also, the image of history folk rhymes is vivid, which in a certain extent can reproduce the true essence of history, therefore it could being able to arouse students' intrest in studying history. The second part of the paper mainly talks about the current situation of the exploitation and utilization of the history folk rhyme resource. The paper carries out statistic analysis on the history folk rhyme that had appeared in the teaching material, and the college entrance examination history folk rhyme questions that had appeared throughout the country after carrying out of the new curriculum. At the same time, we also carry out an interview on teachers. It shows out that there are not much studies about the exploitation and utilization of the history folk rhyme resource at present, and would be more history resource excavated comparatively.Part three discussed the effect of developing and using the history folk rhyme in the middle school history teaching. With regard to the current situation, we make a further comment about the effect and request by using history folk rhyme in history teaching. The paper thanks that regards we should keep abreast of the "three-dimensional target" purpose of the new course, selecting and using the history folk rhyme which is representative, proper and consistant with purpose history teaching.Part four talks about several points of the exploitation and utilization of the history folk rhyme to middle school history teaching. The paper thanks that we needs to attach importance to bring area advantage into play normally according to course standard; After bring every aspect advantage of the course resource into play, teacher and student resources can complement to each other; The viewpoint of development is needed to bring the culture advantage into play so that we can carry out the activity teaching.Finally, although there would be some difficulty in the process of exploitation and utilization history folk rhyme resource, for example, we need to use more time and energy when we excavate and choose the history folk rhyme which has certain degree of difficulty. With the course reformation of the people will significantly improve the history folk rhyme resource gradually. There will be more and more history folk rhyme developed and be refinde used. Then it will bring the due effect into play out in middle school history education.
