The Teacher Profession Value Scale was developed and it contained three dimensions,the special spiritual value,the general spiritual value and the material value.This scale possessed good validity and reliability.The relevant statistics are collected by the investigation of the Teacher Profession Value Scale and job burnout questionnaire in primary and secondary teachers from350teachers.We found that:(1)Some significant differences were existed between teacher’s ideal state and reality state.(2)female teachers profession value "ideal-reality" gap in the special spiritual value was greater than that of male significantly and high school teachers teacher profession value "ideal-reality" gap was greater than any other teachers.(3)teacher profession value "ideal-reality" gap has a significantly positive correlation with job burnout and it can explain and predict job burnout well.On the basis of the above,we studied other objective factors that affected teacher profession value "ideal-reality" gap. The scale was developed by a small interview.Through the investigation,we found that:formalism,unfairness,overload were the most important factors which hindered the achievement of teacher professional value.
