An ancient Chinese saying goes like this: "Favorable weather is less important than advantageous terrain, and advantageous terrain is less important than unity among the people". In the present context of constructing a harmonious socialist society, the interpersonal relationship among higher vocational school students who constitute an important but special part of college students has become an important research task for ideological and political education of higher vocational schools.Guided by the Marxist theories and based on the ideological and political pedagogy, the present study explores the thought and concept of interpersonal relationship, in particular, the harmonious relationship among higher vocational school students by using Marxist methods which combines the theoretical analysis and empirical study of the relevant content of sociology, psychology and pedagogy. The study analyses the status quo and features of the interpersonal relationship among higher vocational school students, on the other hand, disharmony and its causes. It puts forward the implementing principle and route for developing harmonious interpersonal relationship among students of higher vocational schools. The thesis includes the six parts as follows.By reviewing the research results of scholars from both home and abroad, the first part mainly expounds the current background, research method, aim and significance for the study of harmonious interpersonal relationship among higher vocational school students. It approaches respectively from the perspective of theoretical innovation and quality structure of the higher vocational school talents to account for the theoretical and practical significance of the study. Guided by the Marxist interpersonal communication theory, the second part scientifically defines the interpersonal relationship, harmonious interpersonal relationship and the harmonious interpersonal relationship among students of higher vocational schools and analyses its value for education. The third part analyses the establishment and development, the structure and style of interpersonal relationship among students of higher vocational school, and the relevant affecting factors. Based on the analysis of current features and disharmonious behaviors, the fourth part tries to account for the disharmony from three aspects including the environment, psychology and the students themselves. Based on the study of the students'characteristics and their core abilities, the fifth part explores the criteria for the harmonies interpersonal relationship among the students. The sixth part puts forward the implementing principle for constructing harmonious interpersonal relationship and explores in depth and in detail its route for implementation which includes perfecting oneself, the educational ecosystem, the family atmosphere and the social environment. Finally, it emphasizes some important points in constructing the harmonious interpersonal relationship to show the students the right way for a harmonious development and healthy growth..
