This translation report is based on a scientific literature Transgenesis Techniques:Principlesand Protocols and guided by Eugene Nida’s Dynamic Equivalence. During the process oftranslation, this writer categorizes various problems on words and sentence structures solved bydifferent translation skills. On the use of words, this report mainly discusses the solution tocommon scientific word translation, the way to avoid inaccurately translating simple words andconjunctions in different contexts. On sentence structures, the repot mostly talks about the way totranslate long sentences as how to make pause in them or when we need to choose linearinterpreting; passive voices like remain or remove and sentences with ambiguity. Thus thetranslation can be smooth and precise by using different translation strategies. This report is divided into six parts. The first four parts gives a brief introduction to thereport, including the reason why the author chooses this article, the way how to ensure thequality of the translation and the theory guiding the translation process. The fifth part, which isthe main part of this report, gives different examples concentrating on words, sentences andvoices respectively. The last part concludes how the translator solves issues mentioned in thisreport and the use of different translation skills in scientific literature. Therefore this report canhelp other translators to treat similar issues in the same way.
