Task-based language teaching approach is one of the most effective methods of English teaching at home and abroad. In view of the fact that teaching Chinese domestically is endowed with a great linguistic environment, TBLT can undoubtedly yield a good effect in TCFL. Five principles of TBLT, that is, authenticity, continuity, integration, learning by doing, and interaction, can be summed up according to the related theories of it. On the basis of these principles, this essay gives an analysis of the textbook series, Experiencing Chinese Oral Course (primary), which is compiled with the theory of TBLT in mind. The highlights of this textbook series are as follows. Firstly, it is innovatively compiled and the units are coherent, forming a task chain; Secondly, varieties of topics and input materials are selected to establish a real communicative situation; Thirdly, form, function and meaning are well integrated, emphasizing interaction while learning by doing; Lastly, this series has established an conclusion and evaluation system to promote students’second language learning. Meanwhile, the shortcomings of this series are also pointed out. Some units in volume1and volume2lack continuity. Also, integration is missed in some units of the three volumes, and "learning by doing" is not achieved in volume2. Therefore, specific suggestions are put forward for improvement.
