Coping Strategies And Application Of Difficulty Driving In English And Chinese

The aim of this research lies in the study of the difficulties in the application of syntactic linearity in simultaneous interpreting as well as the strategies dealing with these difficulties. Syntactic Linearity is regarded as the golden rule in simultaneous interpreting, it helps the interpreters to save time and ease the pressure in memory.However, there are difficulties in the application of the syntactic linearity. This thesis takes the simultaneous interpreting of Apple’s products release in 2014 as the training material. On the one hand, it focuses on the finding and analysis of the difficulties in the application of the syntactic linearity. On the other hand, it discusses the feasible strategies to solve these difficulties. Based on the previous study and the conclusions drawn from the daily practice, this thesis focuses on the difficulties such as how to use the feasible cohesive devices after the segmentation at the relatives, prepositions and participles; the difficulties when interpreting the passive voice and comparative degree.At the same time, the thesis finds coping strategies to deal with these difficulties.Hopefully, this thesis will provide some reference for the training and practice of simultaneous interpreting in the future.
