A Study Of Verb Overlapping In Teaching Chinese As A Foreign Language

Verbal reduplication is often used in our daily conversation in the language form, also is a difficulty of foreign students learning.This paper summarizes the previous research on the form, meaning, overlapping range and application conditions of verbal reduplication, and summed up a set of verbal reduplication grammatical forms which is suitable for teaching to foreigners, analyzed A Program of Graded Chinese Vocabulary and Chinese Character, summed up “a table of verb which could overlap” for reference for foreign students and their teachers,then we analyzed some teaching materials, classroom teaching, the situation of students use it etc., by which we found the heavy and difficult teaching and the existing problems and shortcomings of the verbal reduplication, finally we put forward some suggestions and solutions that aimed at the verbal reduplication teaching, so that the verbal reduplication teaching would be more effective, and it will help foreign students to communicate with others more accurately and appropriately by verbal reduplication.
