Cross-cultural adaptation is an important part of cross-cultural communication. It refers to the process of self adjustment in the face of a strange environment, in the field of international Chinese language teaching, it refers to the process and strategy of Chinese learners in the environment of cross-cultural communication. With the increasing number of the South Korean students who study in the universities in Beijing and the differences of culture between China and Korea, many Korean students will face challenges in the process of cross-cultural adaptation, so the situation of cross-cultural adaptation of Korean students in Colleges and universities in Beijing has certain research significance. This research utilizes the theories and research results from the domestic and foreign scholars on cross-cultural adaptation, as well as the study of cross-cultural adaptation of overseas students in China, and the actual situations of Korean students in Beijing, in order to know about the adjustments and changes from Chinese learning and social life of Korean students when they in the face of the new cultural environment. The content and the way of their cross-cultural adaptation are the main aspects in this study.The current study combines the knowledge of sociology with psychology, and the researcher designed the questionnaire, and invited a number of Korean students of universities in Beijing who completed the survey. Teaching adaptation and Social and cultural adaptation are the main aspects in this research, what’s more, the SPSS software has been used to analysis the difference of cross-culture adaptation influence factors. Aiming at the shortcomings of the questionnaire and sample, the interviews and case studies are used to increase the scientific and authenticity.Chapter 1 mainly described the theory and the results on cross-culture adaptation of overseas students who come to China and introduced the content and the method of this essay. Chapter 2 introduced the cross-culture adaptation to teaching of Korean overseas students in Beijing, which related to the adaptation contents and methods included Chinese language teaching, teaching management, teaching methods and materials, teaching environment and resources, testing and evaluation. Chapter 3 introduced the cross-culture adaptation to society and culture of Korean overseas students in Beijing, which related to interpersonal communication, living environment, service mode, morality, social support and other aspects. Chapter 4 analysis the factor to Korean overseas students’ cross-culture adaptation and the suggestions. The last chapter sum up the conclusion, the creation and space of the research.Through the analysis of survey data, researcher believe that learning adaptation and social cultural adaptation are the main content for Korean overseas students in Beijing, and the adaptation is mainly in the form of self-adjustment. The major factors affecting the adaptation are the age, education background, Chinese level, the time living in Beijing and overseas experience. According to the conclusion above, the current research gave suggestions to China, South Korea and overseas students themselves.The creative part of this research is that researcher combined the SPSS software and interview analysis and it’s specific to study Korean overseas students’cross-culture adaptation content and methods in universities in Beijing.
