Chinese and Mongolian language are different, the syntax structure is also different. Chinese language is an independent language, prepositions express grammatical meaning, located in front of the nouns. Mongolian is a kind of Agglutinative languages, which is determined by the root, stem, affixes, mainly by the "grid" consisting of grammatical structures. The structure of the grid is: "noun+semantic grid+predicate". Because there is no preposition in Mongolian and also there is a great difference existing between in Mongolian and Chinese languages, when Mongolian students study Chinese prepositions, they often make errors. The preposition "Gei" is a function word which is often made errors by foreign students. Chinese preposition "Gei" is equivalent to Mongolian grid "Godhead", but there are many differences between preposition "Gei" and the grid "Godhead", so when the Mongolian students use preposition "Gei", they often make errors including omissions, misuses, wrong sequences, wrong additions and these errors mainly by the transfer of mother language tongue and the target language knowledge’s negative migration. Therefore, the author based on the theory of ontology, analyzed Mongolian students’ acquisition of the preposition "Gei". The first chapter, analyzed the grammatical features of Chinese preposition "Gei" and Mongolian grid "Godhead", and compared their aspects of classification and semantic features, considered there is a big difference between Chinese preposition "Gei" and Mongolian grid "Godhead" which are their meanings, sentence positions and grammatical functions. The second chapter, the author investigated Mongolian students’ errors of Chinese preposition "Gei" who are different level of Chinese language by using analysis of statistical errors, questionnaires and interviews, and preposition "Gei" divided into the four types of errors:omission, misuse, wrong sequence and wrong addition. According to the results of research, we found that Mongolian students’ who are in elementary intermediate and advanced Chinese language level error types of severity are same:misuse-wrong sequence-omission-wrong addition. And according to the results of statistics, we found that Mongolian students who are elementary and intermediate Chinese level, and their errors of preposition "Gei" severity as follows: misuses-wrong sequences-omissions-wrong additions, and the advanced level’s students’errors of preposition "Gei" severity as follows:misuses-wrong additions-wrong sequences-omissions. Thus, the misuse error of preposition "Gei" is the most serious error type of Mongolian students. The third chapter, the author analyzed the cause of Mongolian students’errors of preposition "Gei" from negative transfer of their mother language and target language knowledge acquisition of the preposition "Gei". First of all, the author compared the Mongolian grid "Godhead" and Chinese preposition "Gei", considered Mongolian grid "Godhead" is corresponding Chinese different prepositions and difference between Mongolian grid "Godhead" and Chinese preposition "Gei", then we found out the main reason of Mongolian students’ error which is caused by their mother language’s influence. Secondly, meanings of Chinese preposition "Gei" is complicated, therefore, when Mongolian students learn Chinese preposition "Gei", they make misuses and wrong sequence errors. The fourth chapter, through the classification of the types of errors, we analyzed causes of errors and gave some teaching suggestions which are teaching methods, teaching materials, teachers should explain the details of Mongolian grid "Godhead" and Chinese preposition "Gei" similarities and differences etc.
