A Comparative Study Of "X" And "X" Synthetic Word Words

This paper disscuss about Location Words,which consist of Prefix Zhi/Yi and single-morpheme Location Words from four aspects.In order to provide some suggestions on Teaching of Chinese as a Second Language,we make a analysis and comparison between them.Zhi-X and Yi-X Location Words are always studied together,as a result,people ignored the differences between them and the features of them own.Therefore the paper plan to make a distinction by describing their features from syntax,semantics and pragmatics.We sorted out the development of Zhi-X and Yi-X Location Words,so that their differences can be explained.There are fourteen single-morpheme Location Words.Their meaning changed from space to rank and sequence.Prefix Zhi has gone through the process of verb-pronoun-modifier marker-prefix. Prefix Yi has gone through the process of verb-preposition-conjunction-prefix.The structure of Zhi-X and Yi-X appeared in the pre-Qin. The former has been fixed into word.The latter has been reconstructed from the pattern of Zi...Yi... since the Preposition Zi faded off gradually.On the base of theoretical analysis,the paper conducted a statistics research both in interlanguage and native text corpus.Then we compared and explained the similarities and differences between them.Some standard usages of Zhi-X and Yi-X Location Words are provided.We also analysed the errors in interlanguage corpus.Combined with all above,the paper provide some suggestions on Teaching of Chinese as a Second Language from textbook compilation and teaching.
