Study On Regional Economy Of Shanxi In Shanxi Province

To research the regional economic history, the first thing to do is to delimit a certain scope of space-time. The article choose Shanxi area in Jin Dynasty as the object of the study, Shanxi here refers to the boundary of Shanxi province today. The aim for me to choose Shanxi area in Jin Dynasty as the object of the study is to position accurately the status and role of the economy of Shanxi in the history of the development of economy in Jin Dynasty through analysising the impact of the political upheaval on the development of Shanxi economy in jin dynasty.Shanxi area in Jin Dynasty include a part of XiJing road and most part of the northern of HeDong road and the southern of HeDong road. The population of Shanxi area in Jin Dynasty is affected by political changes, it has experience the sharp cut off in the early time, the sudden increase in the middle time and decrease in the end, the essence of which is the shape of "downward parabola". The factors of affecting the development of Shanxi agricultural in Jin Dynasty, in addition to the sinister of the physic-geographical environment, frequent war, serious natural disaster, heavy taxes and corvee and the inland of strong arms are also restrict factors for the development of Shanxi agricultural in Jin Dynasty. In general, agricultural production of Shanxi in this period has got better development, and even more better than the northern Song Dynasty in many ways. After the construction of Jin Dynasty, the political in this period was stable, the commercial trade was developed on the basis of the recovery and development of the agriculture and the handicraft, which performance in the prosprity of the business and the flourish of the border trade. The development of commercial trade of Shanxi area in Jin Dynasty is the prelude of the rise of the Jin businessman since Ming Dynasty and Qing Dynasty.The article analysis the overall condition of the area economic development of Shanxi in Jin Dynasty, it can conclud that the area had made great progess in agriculture, handicraft, business and otherAspects, but as it is affected by the political upheaval, the economic achievements that Shanxi area made is lost with the southward invasion of the Mongolian army.
