The Chinese Education in Cambodia boasts itself in the long history, good tradition, sheer size, excellent system and so forth, while it suffers from the destruction of the war. Contemporary Chinese Education in Cambodia gains from the opening policies and multi-cultural policies, China’s Tightening Relationship with Cambodia, Chinese International Promotion and Chinese Culture Propagation by Chinese government, which are opportunities for the Chinese Education in Cambodia, leading to the renaissance of the reopening and establishing Chinese Education in the kingdom.This paper intends to choose Duan Fa Chinese School – the most representative Chinese school in Cambodia as the target of research, conducting a general study on the teaching and learning situation via questionnaire and interview method,examining in detail on the teachers, students, textbooks, curriculum, teaching methods and teaching management via data analysis, all of which will lead to a conclusion – the School is rich in teaching resources, flexible in educational environment, excellent in management and teaching team and prosperous in development and language environment. However, it also has to face some disadvantages – Chinese Education is not enlisted in Cambodian Educational System,Chinese is not a required course, Chinese as a Second Language is not proving itself as a teaching format, lack of enough teachers leads to the heavy teaching loads, the imbalanced age attribution leads to a serious aging problem, the teaching lacks appealing methods, the over-target textbooks lead to the separation of the contents from the reality, the students are far from the master of their own thus they lack the interest to continue. On the basis of these problems, this paper tries to offer some solutions for the improvement on the Chinese Teaching and Learning for the School from the following aspects – Chinese teachers sent from the 3 agencies- Overseas Chinese Affairs Office, NOCFL, Embassy of the People’s Republic of China in the Kingdom of Cambodia; Khmer-Chinese Association In The Kingdom Of Cambodia,the Association of Chinese Teo Chew Cambodia plus the school, the teachers, the families and the students.
