Idioms are widely used in many parts of daily life, and the content is very rich, not only including semantics, grammar, but also contains a large number of cultural content. For second language learners, it’s need a lot of time and energy to learn and use idioms correctly. And unlike other aspects of learning, Idioms preserved a lot of ancient words and meanings, it can’t learn by the simple memories. Because of this, how to teach Idioms becomes the majority of TCFL workers’ problem. For now, there is a few of Chinese textbooks and all kinds of Chinese idioms’ reference books, it’s can’t satisfy learners’ need. Therefore, this article will be study to The Chinese Syllables,Characters and Words’ Grading for Teaching Chinese as a Foreign Languages, and combing the advantages and disadvantages of TCFL idioms teaching. Through the extensive investigation, know about the characteristics of the teaching objects and their needs, and give the feasible advice about textbooks and teaching methods to make contributions to TCFL idioms teaching.This thesis is divided into the following sections:First is introduction. It mainly introduced the reason and value of research, as well as the field, method and innovation. At the same time, summarized the previous research results of analysis, and put forward the problems existing in the present study, in order to as the theoretical premise and basis of this study.The first chapter is about the advanced stage of idioms’ investigation. This chapter mainly discusses the advanced stage of idioms in the textbooks and The Chinese Syllables,Characters and Words’ Grading for Teaching Chinese as a Foreign Languages, by comparing to discover the problems of current TCFL.The second chapter is the investigation and analysis about the learning level of second language learners’ idiom. The survey is about the present situation of advanced learners’ idiom learning by designing the questionnaire, and find the existing problems and the reasons from the results of the survey.The third chapter is about some suggestions of teaching Chinese idioms in TCFL. In the first chapter, there has been discovered unreasonable place about idioms teaching in advanced stage by sorting and analyzing, and the second chapter also found the problems of second language learners about idioms learning through the questionnaire. So this chapter mainly put forward the corresponding suggestions from two aspects of textbooks and teaching methods.
