In the ear of globalization, China’s economy keeps rising, meanwhile hard loaded the police management system. Police officers play a key role in strengthening the Party’s regime, keeping the country peace and stable and securing people’s life. According to the statistics of the departments concerned, the risk factor of personal safety of police is the highest in all the staff of state organs.Performance evaluation originated from the civil service system of western countries, is an important method of management, incentive, supervision of the government department staff work. In our country since twenty-first Century, the Party Central Committee, the State Council, attach great importance to the work of the government management, the strategic goal of the government departments staff performance management appraisal work in committee, office, bureau of human resources management, China eighteenth National Congress of the Communist Party formallyproposed to "administrative method innovation, improve government credibility and execution, to promote government performance management". Public security organs, as an important part of government departments,have a pilot run performance management appraisal,appraisal, the law enforcement quality evaluation into the comprehensive evaluation system of the grass-roots public security organs, the performance management assessment results, as police adjustment merit awards, off the job training and promotion of the main basis,performance management appraisal has become an effective method to improve the public security organsManagement Benefit.On the basis of analyzing and comparing, questionnaire survey, investigating the literature review, this article using the way of comparing the foreign police’s performance evaluation development. We will bring up the problem and figure out practical measures to enrich research of this area and promote the sustainability and effectiveness of the police force.
