Research On Emergency Material Inventory Model Based On Public Emergencies

In recent years, including the accident disaster, public health incidents and other publicemergencies occurred frequently in many regions of China; it caused many adverse effects tothe society and people’s life. So we must pay more attention on emergency management ofsudden public events. Inventory management of emergency material is one of the importantproblems in the field of management of public emergencies. The paper studied the inventorymodels of emergency supplies of public emergencies, and based on the earthquake disaster asan example was discussed, the main research contents were as follows:First, the main theories of the emergency inventory management is discussed, whichIncluded the concept of emergency, emergency materials classification, emergency materialsmanagement, etc. The paper researched on the emergency logistics inventory model. Itresearched on the emergency logistics inventory classification of the earthquake disaster eventand discussed the deterministic inventory model and stochastic inventory model. Secondly,the paper studied the importance of emergency materials inventory model and application.The paper analyzed the basic characteristics of the importance of emergency materials, andcontrolled the inventory management of this kind of materials which adopted economic orderquantity model with limited storage space, and solved the model and an application examplewas given. Third, the paper studied the scarcity of emergency materials inventory model andapplication. The paper analyzed the basic characteristics of the scarcity of emergencymaterials, and established the inventory management of the scarcity of emergency materialswhich adopted the maximum and minimum periodic order method, and an applicationexample was given. Fourth, the paper studied the timeliness of emergency materials inventorymodel and application. The paper analyzed the classification criteria of the timeliness ofemergency materials, and established the inventory management of the timeliness ofemergency materials which adopted quantitative order method based on safety inventory, andan application example was given.The paper explored the characteristics and requirements of emergency materialsinventory, and divided it into three categories, the scarcity and the importance and the timeliness. The paper constructed the inventory model according to the differentcharacteristics of each category. The research is conducive to building a fast reaction and highservice level of emergency material inventory management model, and it had a certainpractical value for improving the security performance and the emergency supplies andreducing the cost.
