The core competence of a bank is a dynamic process of the continue probe, identification, cultivation and promotion. It is hardly found that an active bank in the world does not cultivates and promotes its core competence by means of the base of finance technique, the system security of organization structure innovation and the supporter of humane resource. With the deep-going of the economic globalization and the information socialization, the pattern of economy in the words has been changing greatly, the competition among enterprises turns to the information, knowledge and culture instead of the original capital, labor force and nature resource, the/focusing point of the competition is in the urgent requirement for culture than ever before. However the agriculture bank of China can combine the competence with culture at present, the bank has not used the culture as a mean to promoting its core competence, the reason is probably that they did not get a full picture of culture. The effect of corporate culture on the core competence of agriculture bank of China was analyzed according to the mechanism of core competence, by comprehensive analyses of files, cases studies and basing on the general summarization of corporate culture theory, competition theory and practical experience. The corporate governance and organization competence is a foundation for enterprise to survive while corporate culture is a core competence for agriculture bank of China to develop continually. The system frame of building up core competence based on corporate culture of agriculture bank of China was set up and measures to promoting core competence of agriculture bank of China was presented by analyzing the situation and problems existing in core competence and corporate culture.
