Research On Some Problems About Regional Tourism Information System

With the high development of the tourism, it becomes an imperative problem for all tourism departments that how to arrange all kinds of tourism resource and how to popularize and sale the tourism products in a region. Tourists, especially the self-service tourists, feel very bewildered when they make tourism decision. Regional tourism information system provides a new method to solve these problems, and can build a bridge between the tourists and the tourism destination.With more than forth years development, Geographical Information System(GIS) has become an integrated technology system about spatial information , including inputting, editing, saving, indexing, analysing, monitoring spatial information. It is an available technology that analyses and deals with mass spatial information, and provides a good technological platform for the building of the regional tourism information system.Basing on Geographical Information System and taking Hubei Province Tourism Information System as example, this paper first discusses some basic concepts about regional tourism information system, such as tourism information, tourism decision, tourism products, tourism resources and so on, then discusses some relevant technologies in building regional tourism information system, such as the technology of spatial information visualization and spatial decision analysis technology. In detail, the paper discusses how to use the spatial decision analysis methods and the spatial analysis technologies in GIS especially network analysis and buffer analysis to perform regional tourism decision.
