In the market changed so fast, the company can hardly win the competition withits own power. Therefore, companies develop their core competence on one hand andsource their non-core business on the other to share their respective resources andadvantages through cooperation. But there is also a question left to the Chineseenterprisers, that is why they should cooperate and whom they would like to workwith.The article starts on the popular issue of Supply Chain Management (SCM) anddesigned the procedures for enterprises to set up partnership with their suppliers overanalysis on the SCM theory and development trend of supplier partnership. It is alsoraised the appraisal and choosing methods for supplier partners selection, which isimportant in the SCM and aimed at upgrading competition advantages of both thecompany itself and the supply chain through setting up good relationship with thesupply partners.The researching route of this article is as follows:At first, the article summarized the specifications and importance of supply chainand SCM. It emphasized on the introducing of the advanced measures of SCM andpointed out that the supplier partnership management will be an effective method forupgrading the supply chain performance.The article expounds the evolution of the relationship between enterprise with hissuppliers and the importance of the supplier partnership in supply chains. It alsotheoretically analyse the Supplier Parternetship from the view of Enterprise CoreCompetence theory, Transaction Costs Theory and Principle-Agent Theory andexamine the characteristics of supplier partnership nowadays.The article emphasize the evaluation and selection in the establish supplierpartnership, detail the factors used in evaluating suppliers.In respect of themulti-object, multi-hierarchy and grey characteristic of the supplier evaluation process,we bring forward Weighted-Grey Relationship Analysis mode to solve the supplierevaluation and selection problem.What have achieved in this study can be used for reference to the supplier partnerselection in SCM.
